About

Emilie Aries is a nationally recognized speaker, writer, and podcaster, and the Founder and CEO of Bossed Up, an innovative personal and professional training organization that helps women craft sustainable careers.

Emilie is a political organizer turned award-winning women’s leadership consultant. She has helped hundreds navigate career transition and prevent burnout. Her TED talk, “The Power of No,” shows how to set healthy boundaries and invest in sustainable long-term achievement.

She brings her sharp smarts to the fiercely feminist podcast, Stuff Mom Never Told You on the HowStuffWorks network, writes as a regular contributor at Forbes, The Huffington Post, and Levo League, and a sought-after speaker at companies, organizations, and universities across the country.

Emilie is ranked among such luminaries as Chelsea Clinton and Janet Mock in the LEVO 100, and received WIN’s Young Women of Achievement Entrepreneurship Award and the YWCA National Capital Area’s 2015 Rising Star Award.

Previously, Emilie served on national political campaigns as a digital strategist and grassroots organizer, where she trained and managed hundreds of organizers, helped campaigns leverage online communication technology, and smashed stereotypes about women in tech.

She earned her B.A. in political science from Brown University and completed a Fellowship on Organizing at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Emilie splits her time between Denver, CO and Washington, DC and combines her political instincts and personal experience with burnout to help women step into their power and be the boss of their lives.
